Freedom Groove: Liberation is a Frequency
Bridge to Power sponsored two partner organizations to attend Freedom Groove is a multi-day event that brings together community organizers and socially engaged artists to strengthen grassroots efforts and foster collaboration across sectors. This unique opportunity allowed organizers and leaders from PUSH South Carolina and HousingLOUISIANA to met, some team member for the first time, and strategize on organizing and learn from peers from across the country.
This year, taking inspiration from the Funk Movement—a cultural force for joy, community, and world creation deeply rooted in Southwest Ohio—Freedom Groove organizers built a unique space to advance innovation and enhance the capacity of both socially engaged arts groups and power building organizations
